“English & Spanish”
My Weapon of Peace
- Voice of Gratitude I am not a politician. I am not a millionaire. I am not a prophet. I have no armies, no empires, no great corporations behind me. But I do have something far more powerful than all of that combined: I hold two vital languages — English & Spanish. And I have chosen to turn them into my weapon of peace, a bridge between cultures, and a shield for Mother Earth, uniting nations in one heartbeat of hope. I am no savior or defender. I am a tiny particle before the greatness of Mother Nature. And yet, in smallness, I found my greatest truth: I am her humble soulmate, her voice in human form, her echo of gratitude. Through every conversation, class, and camp, we plant seeds of language and consciousness; progress means nothing without harmony with Earth. We walk gently we act with courage today. “I do not write in green by accident. Every letter is an emerald, a jewel of Colombia’s spirit. And in red I do not see ink, but the passion and love I carry in this mission for the world.”
- Embracing the Forgotten I once walked into a prison in Neiva, Colombia — home to the most dangerous criminals. When I asked to give a speech of embraces instead of fear, the authorities stared as if I were mad. “Are you crazy? They could kill you in an instant. We won’t be responsible.” I signed a document releasing them. I was ready to risk everything, because even in the darkest corners of society, the human heart still longs for one thing: connection. That day I stood before 200 of Colombia’s most feared inmates — men forgotten by the world, buried under crimes and scars. I spoke not with judgment, but with love. I opened my arms — and embraced them. One by one, the impossible happened: tears flowed. Hardened faces broke down. And they said words I will never forget: “No one has ever given me a hug. Not my mother, not my father. Today, you gave me that hug.” That was the greatest reward of my life. From then on, I knew my mission was greater than teaching English. It was about healing broken souls.
- Awakening to Life There was a time when I would wake up each day thinking: “I am not happy. I don’t feel my life has a purpose.” I wondered if life was only eating, sleeping, having a family — and deep inside, if I was simply waiting for death. I had no real desire to live. Today I confess this, because it is the most sincere truth before God. But now I know my life’s true purpose: to awaken humanity through two languages everyone needs for success, and to unite people in love and gratitude for Mother Nature, making this mission a win-win for the entire world. I dream of spaces turned into living gardens — hummingbird feeders, medicinal and fruit trees teaching the value of abundance before we lose it. I want every classroom to be a sanctuary where one learns a language and learns to love life at the same time. With the excuse of the world’s two most important languages, we can move and awaken the planet — to think, feel, and love Mother Nature as I do. Only then can we turn global warming around.
